TCI SprayStrong Plus+
Concrete Stabilizer and Protection Agent
Description
TCI SprayStrong Plus+ is engineered to protect
concrete infrastructure from corrosion and environmental
contaminants. It forms a protective film on embedded reinforcing steel, reduces substrate porosity, and converts active corrosion into a stable, inert layer. The formulation also minimizes water intrusion and provides resistance to acids and chlorides.
Key Advantages
- Reduces porosity and strengthens concrete to reduce water penetration and protect against environmental chemicals
- Easy to apply with spray application and sets in 30 seconds
- Migrates into concrete to protect and reduce corrosion of embedded steel
- Allows for the use of concrete and steel in corrosive soils and environments
Key Features
- Reduces porosity of concrete and substantially reduces water penetration
- Provides resistance to acid and other corrosive agents
- Establishes a protective film on rebar surfaces reducing the corrosion potential
- Replaces natural passivation protection of steel when concrete PH levels fall to 10 or less
- Converts rust to a hard insert shell
Applications
- Water and wastewater concrete pipes
- Hydroelectric dams and bridges
- Concrete medians
- Water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Industrial plants
- Parking garages
Testing and Specifications
| Increased Concrete Hardness | ASTM C-418 - 14% increase in hardness of new concrete. ASTM C-414 - 64% increase in hardness of deteriorated concrete. ASTM C-501 - 1,000 cycles with a 38% increase in wear index. |
| Reduces Rebar Corrosion Potential | ASTM C-876 - Half-cell potential showed a reduced voltage by 70% in 14 days (0.8 to 0.3). |
| Substantially Reduces Concrete Porosity | Freeze Thaw Resistance - ASTM C-672 -50 cycles with no surface loss. AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) T-161 - 146 cycles with no surface loss. Chloride Penetration Resistance - AASHTO T-250-30% decrease at 1 inch depth. Water-Soluble Chloride Reduction - Reduced by 58% and 67% at 1 and 2 inches, respectively. |
