Challenge:
Concrete in Muskoka‘s maintenance holes were rapidly deteriorating and there were worries about infiltration of ground water. Concrete was severely corroded and needed complete resurfacing prior to applying a protective concrete liner. Maintenance holes can pose a challenge for repairs with leaks and hard to reach locations, which made TCI ShieldStrong 955-PL-G the right liner choice for this project.

Solution:
TCI ShieldStrong 955-PL was the most effective choice for this protective liner in this difficult environment due to the minimal amount of surface preparation and ability to cure underwater. Leaks were stopped and the maintenance hole was resurfaced with TCI ResurfaceStrong 8K, a structural mortar designed to renew sub-surface structures through Cast-In-Place procedures. TCI ShieldStrong 955-PL-G was used as a second layer to create a composite application that guarantees long-term strength and durability. Engineered for lasting strength and minimal upkeep, this comprehensive solution ensures these maintenance holes remain resilient and fully operational for years to come.
