West Trunk Sewer Rehabilitation Nears Completion Using TCI Technologies

The restoration of the West Trunk Sewer—one of the largest wastewater sewers in North America, spanning 7 km in length and 2,400 mm in diameter—is entering its final stages.

This multi-year rehabilitation project is a major step toward safeguarding Peel Region’s critical wastewater infrastructure for decades to come.

Tarpon Contracting applied TCI’s CarbonStrong 850 Carbon Fiber Wrap, followed by a finishing layer of TCI ShieldStrong 955-G, restoring structural integrity and long-term durability from the inside out.

With the project scheduled to wrap up this March, we’re looking forward to sharing final updates and results soon. Stay tuned for more as work continues toward completion.
